That happens in many religions, spanning throughout so many cultures, and at times is even human nature to want to marry the same type of person as you (color, creed, etc.)
I come from a very traditional and religious family. I'm told that I will be set up with a nice hindi man when my time comes. I do not wish to have an arranged marriage but I must comply with my parents orders. In SL I have virtual sex and relationships with non-hindi men because I can get away with it here without my parents knowing. If they ever knew they would be furious.
Sometimes I think it would be easier to be part of another religion. One that doesn't take being married to my same kind so strictly.
